He was predeceased by: his parents, Ollie Minchew and Rosa Lee Taylor Minchew. He is survived by: his wife Gail Porter Minchew; his sons, Jay Minchew (Cindy), Jeff Minchew (Lynn) and Bill Minchew; his grandchildren, Ashley Deal (Joseph), Mackenzie Batchelor (Jackson), Mason Minchew (Sierra), Blake Price (Marie) and John Murphy; his stepsons, Porter Jones (Jenny) and Marshall Jones; and his stepgrandsons, Waylon and Henry Jones. He is also survived by many extended family members, dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM at the Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home (2873 US-117, Dudley, NC 28333). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel (2873 US-117, Dudley, NC 28333). A burial will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 at the Wayne Memorial Park (2925 US-117 N/A, Dudley, NC 28333).
