He was predeceased by: his mother Anna Karis Kerley Leatherwood; his grandmother Edna Nichols Kerley; his sister Darlene Franklin; and his close friend Pam Wilson. He is survived by: his granddaughter Bayli; his daughter Kari Kirkpatrick; his siblings, Diane Messer, Carrie Arrington (Bryan) and Ronnie Inman; and his grandchildren, Ethan Kirkpatrick and Makina Kirkpatrick.
