Denise Parker Butler Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of Denise Parker Butler (Waynesville, North Carolina). Denise, born on July 29, 1949 in Goldsboro, North Carolina, passed away on October 5, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Denise Parker Butler to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodrow Parker and Darlee McCullen Parker; her siblings, Janey P. Godwin, Betty Ann Parker and David Anthony Parker; and her granddaughter Kristin Leigh Roberts.

She is survived by: her husband Eugene "Gene" V. Butler, III; her children, Kimberly Simmons Crouse (Clint) of Walterboro and Marion R. "Rob" Simmons, IV (MJ) of Beaufort; her stepchildren, Eugene V. "Gene" Butler, IV and Rebecca Butler Benware (Rob); her grandchildren, Kelsey, Marion, Wallace, Julia, Addie (Caleb), Austin (Abbey), Kalee (Tyler), Ethan, Aiden, Millie and Will; her sister Margaret Parker Lewis (Carl) of Goldsboro, NC; her niece Carla Barker; and her nephews, Chuck Godwin, Brooks Godwin, Kyle Godwin, John Morgan Parker, Joseph Bradley, Lowell Lewis and Ryan Parker. She is also survived by the oldest of four siblings, she assumed the duty of caregiver.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 14th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Waynesville Presbyterian Church.
