He was predeceased by : his parents, Frank Jackson and Eleanor Howell Jackson. He is survived by : his sons, Mike Jackson of Clyde, Charlie Jackson (Debbie) of Etowah and Ron Jackson (Trish) of Gulf Shores, AL.; his sister Reva McCracken; his grandchildren, Tara Smathers of Mars Hill, Eric Jackson of Austin and Stephanie Spivey of Waco, Texas; and his great grandchildren, Aaron, Ethan Smathers, Shannon, Sheridan, Shelbi Spivey, Cody, Brooks and Bryce Jackson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Wells Funeral Home - Waynesville (296 N Main St, Waynesville, NC 28786). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park (886 Russ Ave, Waynesville, NC 28786).
