He is survived by: his mother Mary Helen Franz Combs; his sister Carolyn Hicks; his wife Donna Marie Parke Combs; his children, Angela Michelle Rees and James Matthew Combs (JoAnna); his grandchildren, William Keifer Rees (Lexi), Anthony Kyle Rees and Abigail Nicole Combs; and his great grandchild Levi.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Wells Funeral Home - Waynesville (296 N Main St, Waynesville, NC 28786).
