Judith Pressley Wenzel Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 26, 2025, at the age of 88, Judith Pressley Wenzel (Waynesville, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Judith leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. Frederick G. Wenzel; her parents, Herbert Pressley and Georgia Ferguson Repar; and her siblings, James K. Dotson, Betty Dotson and Bobby Dotson.
She is survived by: her sons, Frederick (Erin Wenzel), Christopher (Georgiana Wenzel) and Derek (Sarah Wenzel). She is also survived by grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was a charter member of the Haywood County Hospital Auxiliary and an inaugural board member of the Fund for Haywood County, part of the WNC Community Foundation.
