She was predeceased by: her son Richard G. Bates II; her husband Richard G. Bates I; and her parents, Barbara Farley and Gerald Farley. She is survived by: her son Charles Earhart III; her grandsons, Carter and Dorian; and her siblings, Jerry Fraley, Debra Badamo and Roxanne Cope. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Allen's Creek Recreational Park (234 W Marshall St, Waynesville, NC 28786).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Kidney Fund in her memory.
