He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldred Nelon and Ethel Davis Nelon; and his sisters, Jenny Franklin, Audrey Searcy, Irene Harwood and Ann Reagan.
He is survived by: his wife Anna Webb Nelon; his children, Mike Nelon (Kim) of Alaska, Jason Nelon (Michelle) of Montana, Lisa McClure (Rick) of Waynesville and Angie Willett (Scott) of Waynesville; his grandchildren, Amy Seaford (Jonathan) of Canton, Brandon Nelon of Florida, Derrick Nelon (Alysia) of Alaska, Heather Stockton (Kaleb) of Waynesville, Holly Willett of Waynesville, Jared Willett (Danielle) of Waynesville, Lauren Greene (Cody) of Waynesville, Jacob McClure of Waynesville and Sophie Nelon of Montana; and his great grandchildren, Jaden Seaford, Gavin Nelon, Addelyn Stockton, Ben Willett, Anniston Willett, Caden Greene and Madelyn Greene.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Family Residence (113 Seibert Rd, Waynesville, NC 28786). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the renovation fund at Grandview Baptist Church, 1562 Allens Creek Road, Waynesville, NC 28786.
