He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Merrill and Brejetta Jarvis Merrill. He is survived by: his wife Jane Jenkins Merrill; his son C. D. Merrill; his granddaughter Sheresa Merrill Slagle (TJ); his great grandchildren, Aubree and Urijah; his granddaughter Holly Merrill; his sister Patsy Hawkins (Art); his niece Heather Weaver (Matthew); and his great-nephews, Charlie, Benjamin and William.
