He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleophas Arrington and Dallie Willis Arrington; his wife Wanda Buckner Arrington; his grandson Chris Chandler; and his sisters, Myrtle Metcalf, Ruby Willis and Rita Smith.
He is survived by: his daughter Pamela Chandler (Warren); his grandchildren, Noah Chandler (Katie), Hannah Chambers (Schan), Ayden Chandler, Ezekiel and Jude Chandler; and his siblings-in-law, Howell Smith, Weldon Reavis, Orben Smith and Ruby Jo Robinson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Flat Creek Baptist Church (21 Flat Creek Church Rd, Weaverville, NC 28787). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 at the Locust Grove Baptist Church Cemetery (305 Locust Grove Rd, Weaverville, NC 28787).
