We are sad to announce that on November 11, 2022, at the age of 82, Gene Keil of Weaverville, North Carolina, born in Farmersville, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leo Allen and Marie Geiser Keil; his wife Lucy G. Keil; his daughters, Lisa Keil Lagerquist (Mark) of Colchester and Trina Keil (Dan Krauss) of Claremont, California; his sister MaryAnn Ahart (John) of Pasadena, California; and his grandchildren, Erik, Megan Lagerquist, Jared and Alex Krauss.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Gene's honor to Pisgah Legal Services or the Sierra Club.

Keil was an interim pastor at my church -St. Peter’s UCC in Millbury, Ohio many years ago- he still stands out as one of the most caring and compassionate people I’ve known- he had such a knowledge and understanding of people and their needs-I have never met any of his family members but please know that you were thought of in prayer during service today and will be in our thoughts and prayers -the world is a little bit emptier today- Nancy Chalfin- St. Peter’s UCC ,Millbury, Ohio ,”
