As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Lane may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorsey Baker and Beulah Buckner Baker; and his former wife Patricia Marcum Baker. He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Kent Baker; his sons, Nathan Baker and Shawn Burleson (Margie); his grandchildren, Jacob Burleson (Bri) and Charli Burleson; and his great grandchild Cooper Lane Burleson.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral and Cremation Service (7626 NC-213, Mars Hill, NC 28754). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
