He is survived by: his wife Dr. Pamela Putman Wise; his pets, Huey and Dewey; his children, David Wise (Melanie), Paul Wise (Nancy) and Susanne Duncan; his grandchildren, Haley Ruffin, Adam Ruffin, Cooper Duncan, Sawyer Wise and Emily Wise; his great grandchild Ashton Ruffin; and his siblings, Jerry Wisniewski (Honore), Virginia Plucienik and Joan Behrendt.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the West Family Funeral Services (17 Merrimon Ave, Weaverville, NC 28787).
