He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Benjermin and Joan Cyran Kovalik; and his wife Sandra "Sandy" Chamberlain Kovalik. He is survived by: his children, Josette Plemmons (Ronald Fisher) and Joseph Kovalik (Nellie); and his siblings, Yvonne Lewis, Alexander Kovalik, Rick Kovalik, Russell Kovalik, James Kovalik and Eric Kovalik.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the West Funeral Home (17 Merrimon Ave, Weaverville, NC 28787).
