He is survived by: his daughters, Tammy Ponder (Alvin) of Weaverville and Lora Freeman (Joe Griffey) of Weaverville; his brother John Smith (Phyllis) of Hendersonville; his grandchildren, Jordan Burchette (Mason), Cody English (Emilie), Derek Ponder (Gen) and Lucas Fore; and his great grandchildren, Emmeline Burchette, Landon Ponder, Hailey Ponder and Walker Burchette.
