With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virginia Brooks Johnson (Weaverville, North Carolina), born in Lexington, Kentucky, who passed away on July 13, 2023 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Herbert Brooks and Virginia Kraft Brooks; and her husband James T. Johnson. She is survived by : her children, Dwain Johnson (Linda), Ginny Painter (Ladd), David Johnson (Sherri) and JT Johnson (Lori). She is also survived by nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
