In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Welmon leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Welmon may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis Venard and Mildred Garrison Roberts. He is survived by: his significant other Nancy Crawford Roberts; his daughter Sabrina Hamlin Briggs (Richard); his grandsons, Hunter Briggs (Bailey) and Chase Briggs; and his cousin Judy Roberts. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the West Family Funeral Home (17 Merrimon Ave, Weaverville, NC 28787). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Locust Grove Baptist Church (305 Locust Grove Rd, Weaverville, NC 28787). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at the Locust Grove Baptist Church Cemetery (305 Locust Grove Rd, Weaverville, NC 28787).
Flowers are welcome, or donations in Welmon's honor may be made to Locust Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
