She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. William E. Byrd; her brother Donald Lewis; and her parents, Marjorie Arnette Mosely Lewis and Edward Lewis. She is survived by: her daughters, Sarah Arnette Byrd and Rebecca Marie Byrd; her son-in-law Adam Woodruff; her granddaughters, Sophia Arnette Byrd and Juniper Ruth Byrd Woodruff; and her sisters, Carol Salmon (Boyd), Lois Williams (Timmy), Mary-Emily Daily and Jeannie Doggett. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Fellowship Hall of Rosemary Methodist Church (900 Jackson St, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rosemary United Methodist Church.
