He is survived by: his wife Jona Faye Brooks; his children, Regina Lyles (Otis) of Wendell, Coscina Brooks of Raleigh, Terry Brooks of Raleigh, Andrea Pretty (William) of Raleigh, Andre'Brooks of Raleigh, Carlton Brooks of Raleigh, Sherie Brooks of Wendell, Gwendolyn Brooks of Durham, Chante'Pretty, Michael Massenburg, Jr. (Gloria) of Zebulon and Marcus Massenburg (Tammy) of Raleigh; and his siblings, Betty Richardson (Paul) of Raleigh, Carolyn Winters (Joseph) of Raleigh, Michael Brooks (Faye) of Atlanta, GA and Mary Greene of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren; of a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
