She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifton Joseph Ray and Frances Medlin Ray; her siblings, Bobby Milton Ray, Norwood Boyce Ray and Annie Bell Ray Tant; and her sons-in-law, Hilary Pearce and Walter Mitchell.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Edgar Jones; her daughters, Carol Pearce, Susan Lockleair (Johnny), Tera Booker (Steve), Devin Mitchell and Jamie Richardson (Jess); her brother Rex Barbour Ray (Sue); and her great grandchildren, Kari Pearce, Victoria Young (Jake), Johnathan Lockleair, Noah Joyner, Isaac Pittman, Joseph Joyner, Elijah Pittman, Morgan Laroque (Webb), Alvaro Lopez, Kennady Whitley, Alana Young, Nathan Young, Tatum Young and Sadie Laroque.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, September 7th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel (211 W 3rd St, Wendell, NC 27591).
