It is with sadness that the passing of Erika Lynn Bledsoe of Wendell, North Carolina is shared. Erika, born on December 31, 1981, passed away on August 28, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Ruth Oakley, Bobby Oakley and Irmgard Ilody Boone. She is survived by: her parents, Bobby Clinton Oakley and Elke Erika Boone (Jay); her husband David Bledsoe; her children, Makaylah, DJ, Leiah and Kendyl; her granddaughter Autumn Grace Bledsoe; her siblings, Belinda Jacobs (Ben), Bobby Oakley, Jr. (Desaray), Robin Oakley and Jasmine Greene (Tyler); her mother-in-law Sandra Bledsoe; and her grandfather Harold Boone (Jenny). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bright Funeral Home (405 S Main St, Wake Forest, NC 27587). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Bright Funeral Home Chapel (405 S Main St, Wake Forest, NC 27587). A burial was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at the Pine Forest Memorial Gardens (770 Stadium Dr, Wake Forest, NC 27587).
