With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Freeman Coley Jr. (Wendell, North Carolina), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Freeman left this world on June 7, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Freeman Coley and Dora Crumpler Coley; his son Dennis Coley Sr.; and his brothers, Donald, Jimmy and David Earl Coley.
He is survived by: his sisters, Mary Rose Pender, Mable Lee Williford, Pasha Newcomb and Dora Francis Langley; his wife Peggy Sutton Coley; and his children, Jackie Diane Crutchfield, Phyllis (Bishop Timothy Cowan) and Shelton (Susie Coley). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory (211 W 3rd St, Wendell, NC 27591). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM and at 4:00 PM.
