She was predeceased by: her parents, William C. Witherspoon and Mary Emma Witherspoon; and her sister Mary Ann Land. She is survived by: her husband Richard A. Collins; her children, Kim Brame McGimsey (Jim), Richard A. Collins, Jr. (Laurie), Michael S. Collins (Diane) and Christy C. Huss (Darryl); and her grandchildren, Isabelle McGimsey, Kyle McGimsey (Sarah), Amanda Phillips (Austin), Ashley Buchanan, Alex Strom, Zakar Campbell and Hannah Strom.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Robinwood (84 Hanor Ln, Wendell, NC 27591).
In place of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or The Salvation Army.
