In loving memory of Joe Allen Aker of Wendell, North Carolina, who departed this world on June 7, 2025 at the age of 79. Joe Allen leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben Theodore Aker and Elsa Watson Aker; and his siblings, Cleatus Aker, Lewis Aker, John Aker, Max Aker and Mary Lord.
He is survived by: his wife Lynda Ruth Aker; his sons, James Aker (Julie) of Zebulon, Jeffrey Aker (Lisa) of Maple Grove and Jeremy Aker (Patty) of Raleigh; and his sister Erma Aker of New Port Richey, Florida.. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Garner Church of Christ (1364 Benson Rd, Garner, NC 27529). A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
