Joel Worth Frazier Obituary

Joel Worth Frazier, loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend, passed away on June 16, 2026, at the age of 60.

Joel worked as a Shop Foreman at Duke University Hospital, where he dedicated many years of service and earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues and friends.

A man of strong faith, Joel held a deep love and devotion for his family. His faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of his life and a source of strength, hope, and comfort to those around him. To all who knew him, he was kind, wise, intelligent, and dependable. He possessed a wonderful sense of humor, loved to read, and was often the person family and friends turned to for advice and guidance. Joel led by example and served as a role model to many throughout his life.

One of Joel's greatest joys was his marriage to his beloved wife, Brenda. The love they shared was a true testament to devotion, commitment, and partnership. He adored Brenda, and their relationship was an inspiration to all who witnessed it.

Joel is survived by his beloved wife, Brenda Frazier; his son, Justin Penny; his daughters, Amber Hendricks, Brittany Keith, and Katerina Frazier; his son-in-law, Seth Hendricks; his daughter-in-law, Molly Brooks; and his cherished grandchildren, Leanna Penney and Elijah Keith. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends who will forever treasure his memory.

A celebration of Joel's life will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Wendell Community Church, 2600 Edgemont Road, Wendell, NC 27591. A reception will follow from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Wendell Lions Club, 700 Lions Club Road, Wendell, NC 27591.

Joel will be deeply missed and forever loved. The impact he had on the lives of those who knew him will never be forgotten, and his legacy of faith, wisdom, kindness, and love will continue through the family and friends he cherished.
