It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John David Mattox (Wendell, North Carolina), who passed away on August 6, 2023, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Mattox and Nelly Mattox. He is survived by: his son Colby (Hannah Henley); his grandchild Alexa Childress; and his sisters, Anne Maria Raper (Randy), Nancy Barnes (Paul) and Linda Dygert (Brian). He is also survived by his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Donald Wayne Johnson, located at 143 Blueberry Drive, Selma, NC 27576.
