She is survived by: her husband Newton Elgin Short; her siblings, Harold Brantley (Anne) and Judy Gay; her stepchildren, Pam Cross (Barry), Peggy Williams and Patrick Short (Denise); her grandchildren, Amanda Cross, Matthew Cross, Morgan Cross (Chelsea), Amber Perry (Stephen), Zane Short and Julian Short; and her great grandchildren, Aubrey and Tucker. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
