It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Matthew John O'Brien (Wendell, North Carolina), who passed away on July 23, 2025, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Thomas James O'Brien. He is survived by: his mother Elizabeth Kenny O'Brien; his wife Anita O'Brien; his sons, Justin O'Brien (Meghan) and Jordan O'Brien (Kelsey); his brothers, Mark and Luke; and his grandchildren, Mary Campbell James, Beaufort Graham and Brooks Matthew.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hephzibah Baptist Church Missions Scholarship Fund at 1794 Wendell Blvd. Wendell, NC 27597.
