Though Melissa may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Marvin Malcolm Bonner and Marjorie Linton; and her husband Kevin Estep.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory (211 W 3rd St, Wendell, NC 27591).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Saving Grace Animals for Adoption of North Carolina, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or your favorite local "No-Kill" shelter.
