We announce the death of Richard Blake Maness of Wendell, North Carolina, who passed away on July 7, 2026, at the age of 61. Richard will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Maness and Deslan "Bobbie" Keisler Maness. He is survived by: his wife Caroline B. Maness; his sons, James "Jimmy" Maness and Jonathan Maness; his sisters, Diane Weisman (Mike), Faye Onley and PennyRuocchio (Paul); and his nieces and nephews, Kevin Weisman, Kelly Weisman, Brian Onley, Christopher Ruocchio, Matt Ruocchio and Andy Ruocchio.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
