She was predeceased by: her parents, George Elmo and Fleeder Vaughan Marshburn; her husband Marvin M. Pleasant; her children, Michael Pleasant and Michele Pleasant Freeman; her brother Stanley Marshburn; and her sister-in-law Gene Marshburn.
She is survived by: her children, Lisa Pleasant Price and Thomas Wayne Pleasant (Simona); her son-in-law Rickey Freeman; her grandchildren, Melissa Groves (Matthew), Nicholas Kent Freeman (Melissa), Helen Ferguson (Trey) and Kylie Price; her great grandchildren, Kierin, Aven Stone, Tatum Groves, Cooper Freeman, Angel, Sophia Abruzese and Lawrence Ferguson IV; and her siblings, Bruce, Larry (Lois), Keith, Robert (Debbie), Kirby (Teresa) and Ella Mason (Richard). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hephzibah Baptist Church (1794 Wendell Blvd, Wendell, NC 27591). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
