She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Martin Steelman and Hattie Lee Wall Steelman; her husband Baxter Prevatte; her grandson Benjamin Aaron Prevatte; and her siblings, Linda Steelman Godwin and Danny Martin Steelman.
She is survived by: her children, Ron Prevatte (Stephanie) of Montevallo, AL, Terry Prevatte (Jan) of Wilmington, NC, Stephen Prevatte (Kelli) of Loudon and Lisa Ryan (Bradley) of Franklinton, NC.; and her great grandchildren, Kinsley Shumaker, Wyatt Shumaker, Evvie June Prevatte, Faith Noftsker, Carson Noftsker, Aubrey Shumaker, Elise Mae Prevatte and Jovie Aryn Prevatte. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Baxter Prevatte Jr. Scholarship Fund at Campbell University Divinity School.
