We bid farewell to Allen Combs (West Jefferson, North Carolina), born in Jefferson, North Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 28, 2025 at the age of 72. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Edward and Callie Church Combs; his wife Shirley Jean Combs; and his siblings, Tommy Ray Combs, Rufus Johnny Combs, Burl Dean Combs, Charlie Alonzo Combs, Walter Lee Combs, Ida Elizabeth Combs and Billie Faye Hall.
He is survived by: his children, Dr. Kelsy Combs (Chandler Combs) of Kernersville, NC and Kyoko Hood (Brent) of Temple, GA; his siblings, Florence Miller of Jefferson, Dale Combs (Carolyn) of Glendale Springs and George Combs; his grandchildren, Eli Henry Combs and Dallas Hood; his sister-in-law Janice Combs; and his siblings' children, Gabriel Miller, Christy Anderson, Shannon Hall, Tonya Call, Karen Barker, Sharon Taylor and Tina Combs.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the North Beaver Baptist Church (8000 NC-163, West Jefferson, NC 28694). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens (3470 U. S. Hwy 221 N, Jefferson, NC 28640).
