We are sad to announce that on August 4, 2025, at the age of 87, Bud Bare of West Jefferson, North Carolina passed away. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Bare and Ida Virginia Johnson Bare; his wife Nell Raye Duvall Bare; and his siblings, Bill Bare, Dorothy Dean Honeycutt, Evelynn Lyons and Joanna Head.
He is survived by: his sons, Kirk Bare (Sheryl) of Pinehurst, NC and Michael Bare (Patti) of Waxhaw, NC; and his grandchildren, Will, Laura, Nicholas, Jordan and Cameron. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Boone Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services (2005 Mt Jefferson Rd, West Jefferson, NC 28694). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
