With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Douglas Hodges of West Jefferson, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Douglas left this world on July 22, 2025 at the age of 68, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Douglas may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Douglas touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl "Brownie" Hodges and Mary Witherspoon Hodges; his wife Sherrie Hodges; and his brother Dennis Johnson. He is survived by: his daughter Holly Hodges Faircloth of Lenoir; his grandson Jaxon Faircloth; and his brother Danny Hodges of Arizona. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Boone Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services (2005 Mt Jefferson Rd, West Jefferson, NC 28694). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ashe County Little Theatre, a cause that was dear to Dayne's heart.
