It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jack Loyd Tyler Sr. of West Jefferson, North Carolina, who passed away on September 26, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the sacred silence of farewell, Jack is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Jack's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Jackson and Rosa Jane Evans Tyler; and his siblings, Billy Tyler, Mildred Harmon and Eunice Harrison.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Cole Tyler; his children, Reid Tyler of Emerald Isle, Gerald Tyler of Tustin, Loyd Tyler of West Jefferson and Christy Gross of Ayden; and his brother Walter Tyler. He is also survived by four grandchildren, as well as three nieces and four nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens (3470 U. S. Hwy 221 N, Jefferson, NC 28640).
