He was predeceased by: his parents, George Dewey Roten, Sr. and Flossie Arnold Roten; his wife Shirley; and his siblings, Joseph Glenn Roten, Gwyn Roten, Edward Roten, George Dewey Roten Jr., Dane Roten, Elva Bumgardner and Mary Bare.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sandra Maccioli of Raleigh and Sherri DiLorenzo (Bob) of Fuquay-Varina; his sister-in-law Vera Roten; and his grandchildren, Remy Maccioli (Rebecca) of Durham, Allie Smith (Gray) of Wilmington, Jacqueline Harris (Daniel) of Apex, Christian Di Lorenzo (Liberty) of Fuquay-Varina, Christiana Barrow (James) of Raleigh, Jacob Di Lorenzo of Raleigh and Matthew Di Lorenzo of Fuquay-Varina. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
