Telmadge Starrett Shepherd Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on April 5, 2026, at the age of 81, Telmadge Starrett Shepherd of West Jefferson, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Telmadge may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Telmadge touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vance Henry and Lois Allen Shepherd. He is survived by: his children, Stacy Shepherd (Andrea) of Arizona, Jamie Mintz (Josh) of Pennsylvania and Nicole Vargas (Rene) of Arizona; his brothers, David Shepherd of New Mexico and Danny Stalfort of Maryland; and his grandchildren, Tillman Mintz, Cecily Mintz, Valorie Vargas, Victoria Vargas and Croix Shepherd. He is also survived by one niece and two nephews.
