He is survived by: his wife Billie Wood Hutchens; his sons, Daniel Ray Hutchens and Dusty Lee Hutchens; his grandson Dawson Ray Hutchens; his sister Gaye; his brother-in-law Delmer Sawyers; and his brothers, Terry (Geneva Hutchens) and Donnie (Cindy Hutchens). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Brown Mountain Baptist Church (2269 North Carolina Hwy 66 N, Westfield, NC 27053). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
