He is survived by: his wife Ester Simmons Batten; his grandchildren, Crystal Tatum, Chase Ray, Sheena Settlemyre, Candice Millard and James Boyd; and his great grandchildren, Trey Tatum, Luke Bass and Layla Bass. He is also survived by several other Great Grandchildren, and several Great Great Grandchildren.
