He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Ward Harris and Velma Norris Bullard; his grandson Joseph Brooks Harris; and his siblings, Gregory Harris, Darlene Marlowe and Wanda McKee.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ward Harris; his sons, Gary Ward Harris II of Whiteville, Christopher Harris (Heather) of Clayton, Corey Harris of Whiteville and Coty Reece of Whiteville; his brothers, Dayle Bullard of Wilmington and Allen McKee of Whiteville; and his grandchildren, Jacob Harris, Ayden Ellis, Ansley Harris and Emersyn Harris. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Flynn Cemetery. A graveside service was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Flynn Cemetery Flynn Cemetery.
