It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Long Jr. of Whiteville, North Carolina, who passed away on March 6, 2026, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Elbert Long, Sr. and Eddie Mae Clewis Long. He is survived by: his sons, Buck Long of Whiteville, Jimmy Rowe (Angie), Joe Rowe of Whiteville and Johnny Rowe of Lenoir, NC; and his grandchildren, Christina Long, Alicia Faircloth, Selina Rowe, Jessie Rowe, Tyler Long and J. J. Rowe.
