With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Haynes Pridgen of Whiteville, North Carolina, who passed away on January 27, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though their name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Haynes leaves upon the hearts of their loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of their spirit and the richness of their legacy.

Haynes is survived by: wife Deborah Pridgen; children, Attionette Atkinson, Alfreda Wilson, Charone Jenkins and Varnell Jenkins; and sisters, Vernell Settles and MarJorie Stokes. Haynes is also survived by four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
