She is survived by: her children, Emory Clarida of Whiteville, NC and Akeem Baldwin, Jr. of Whiteville, NC; her parents, Byron Gerald "Ronnie" Mitchell of Whiteville, NC and Arleen Ophelia Matthews-Mitchell of Phoenix, AZ; her siblings, Brina Shipman (Sammy) of Whiteville, NC and Malik Mitchell of Phoenix, AZ; her grandparent Gayle George (Charles) of Whiteville, NC; and her fiancé Roosevelt Colson, III. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and special friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Brunswick Waccamaw Missionary Baptist Association (600 Pine Log Rd, Whiteville, NC 28472).
