He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Peterson and Patty Morris Peterson. He is survived by: his wife Gail Hines Peterson; his daughter Heather Peterson Batts (Christopher); his grandchildren, Layla Faith Batts, Asher Batts and Stephanie Batts; and his siblings, Dennis Peterson and Edie Peterson-Cano.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Peace Baptist Church (653 Love Mill Rd, Whiteville, NC 28472).
