She was predeceased by: her parents, Curtis Clewis and Clara Suggs Clewis Watts; her husband Bobby Eugene McCumbee; and her siblings, Clewis and Mary Elizabeth Brady.
She is survived by: her children, Gary McCumbee (Loretta) of Whiteville, NC and Angela Chestnutt (Brian) of Tabor City, NC; her sisters, Eunice Ward of Chadbourn, NC and Mildred Hardwick of Whiteville, NC; and her grandchildren, McKenzie and Bailey Chestnutt.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Macedonia Original Free Will Baptist Church (48 Crusoe Island Rd, Whiteville, NC 28472). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
