He was predeceased by : his parents, Joe Byrd and Irene Byrd; and his wife Gracie Jernigan Byrd. He is survived by : his son Joseph Rob Byrd (Melissa Hope) of Nakina; his grandchildren, Colby Dawson Byrd and Gracelyn Marie Byrd; and his sister Jane Stubbs of Morganton, NC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
