He is survived by: his children, Nicholas Lynn Meares, Gary Ronald Meares (Penny) and Rebecca Ann Meares; his grandsons, Patrick James Baldwin (Hannah) and Matthew Baldwin; his great grandchild Bristol Elizabeth Baldwin; his pets, Peanut and Tippy; his brother Elvin Meares (Cathy); Brandon Wittiker, Faye Shaw Britt and James Shaw. He is also survived by two nieces, two nephews, and several loving cousins.
