It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Yvonne Packer Smith of Whiteville, North Carolina, born in Columbus, North Carolina, who passed away on January 26, 2024, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Levy Packer and Doris Bullard Packer; and her brother Benjamin Levy Packer. She is survived by: her husband Phillip Alan Smith, Sr.; her daughter Misty Diane Hardee of Guideway; her grandsons, Jacob Tyler Singletary and Jackson Thomas Hardee; her siblings, Gwen P. Godwin of Crusoe and Sandy Theodore Packer of El Paso, TX; her stepsons, Phillip Alan Smith, II of Wendell, NC and Joseph Aaron Smith of Conway, SC; and her stepgrandchildren, Ashley Grace Smith, Allyson Brooke Smith, Katelynn Elyse Smith, Joseph Aaron Smith, Jr., Ashton Liam Smith and Audrey Leanne Smith.
