She was predeceased by : her parents, Kenneth Odell Garner and Janice Joan Kimbro Garner; and her grandparents, Sarah Kimbro and Odell Kimbro. She is survived by : her husband Mike Boone; her son Logan Boone (Amber) of Whitsett; her grandchildren, Akahanna Boone, Ariana Boone and Hunter Dean Boone; her siblings, Kathy Tyson (Jeff), Darlene Humble (Bruce) and Kenny Garner; her parents-in-law, James and Shirley Boone; her siblings-in-law, Gerry Boone and Sarah Byrd (Sam); her nieces, Heather Tyson (Jeremy), Hannah Tyson and Rebecca Tyson Welch (Jasmin); and her nephew Camden Byrd.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or to St. Jude Children Hospital.
